[Xastir-Dev] IPv6?

I know I've asked this before, and I think Alan may have looked at this.

I have IPv6 coming to a campus near me. Real soon. (Alan and Bill:
Our Assoc. Provost for IT suddenly reversed polarity and went from "Why
are we worrying about IPv6?" to "Why isn't the IPv6 network already up
on campus? Huh?" in about a 30 ns window...)

We're awaiting our GigaPoP's decision on addressing (actually we're
awaiting their dvelopment of a questionaire and policies to allow us to
request a pure research /48 block and a normal-use campus-wide /48), but
the initial hardware is in place and configured save addresses (Juniper
M5's, couple of Foundry boxes).

So here goes:
Anything on the horizon for IPv6 accessibility? Xastir's led the way in
a lot of the APRS capabilities so far. Might as well do it now.

I've pulsed the javaprsSrvr list about this; we'll see if Pete takes the
bait. I suspect I will bring up an aprsd box to see if it'll "just
work" as a server using the native Linux capabilities.

I am simply suspicious of xastir not liking a server address of
"fe80::290:27ff:fe42:ce71" and in fact, a quick check suggests it just
goes "Huh?" (hard error openning interface 5).

TIA,
gerry
