I'm writing it now. In the meantime i contributed all of my ports to the
opendarwin project. It doesn't have "variant" dependancy support yet, so
you need to do the following:

port install tiff +beta
port install gdal +devel
port install xastir

(this will pick up openmotif, libgeotiff, and proj)

I also recommend
port install gpsd

But the ports are still in opendarwin bugzilla; I will send an update when
they're committed.
