I might be able to check Win2k in a bit.
We'd need to check everything all the way down to Win95 though. I
suspect if Cygwin supports it on one, it'll probably support it on
all, but we still need to check.
I might be able to check Win95 much later. It's on a dial-up link
and it'll probably download all of Cygwin again if I try to update
to the latest. Might be able to accomplish that this weekend.
