Still testing, but some results: When I put a usleep(250000); in the function "statusline" the load is gone. I'm still testing, I don't know if the problem is statusline itself or that the "usleep" just slows down a much bigger processing loop. At least I now know that the problem is caused by the main thread. Kind regards, Henk.
