[Xastir-dev] radar image suggestion

Curt, et al:

Can we engender an automagic gunzip for the radar images?  I can 
experiment with gif/tif/png/jpg and determine the best compression rate, 
then we'd gzip them at generation time, move the compressed image, then 
gunzip at the host?  Is this too much work to ask for now, for a feature 
request?
