Nope. They go together, but requirements don't always derive from use cases.
Some requirements are just constraints on the implementation. Use cases
can refine requirements, though, so there's not such a strict ordering in an
iterative design process.

Yep. I plan to do one of them, but haven't had a chance. Spent a lot of
today doing google-earthy things after my backpacking trip in Rocky Mountain
National Park (see http://www.panoramio.com/kml/?user=1953735 for instance).
And since I'm running a trail race next Saturday, I gotta take a few hours
to run today... and time's a-wastin'.
I'll try to flesh out one of the simpler use cases if I get the chance.
