[Xastir-dev] Forking for hostname lookup

Hello.

Currently xastir does a fork when it does a DNS lookup. I'm wondering
if the developers still consider that useful. My guess is yes, but I
thought I would ask.

I am working on adding IPv6 support to xastir. I've got the basics
working, but right now I am doing to the fork for hostname lookup.
Trying to pass the data back to another process complicates keeping
the lookup protocol neutral. If I can avoid the fork that would be
nice, if that is still desired I can work on keeping it in.
