On Sun, Jul 10, 2016 at 07:11:17AM -0700, we recorded a bogon-computron collision of the <davidf4 at mindspring.com> flavor, containing:

git pull does that, so long as the file was removed by "git rm".

"git reset --hard"

Will reset the repo back to the last committed state, losing all local changes.
