[Xastir] CompressColormap(): Need "configure" help!

Wah.  I wish they'd leave their API alone!  Things like that bug me.
They might have a good reason for it that I don't know about, but
all it does for us is break our software.

Can someone fix this in maps.c and in "configure"?  This would
require some ifdef's in maps.c and something in configure to specify
a flag.  I'll volunteer to do the ifdef's if someone else can figure
out the configure changes.

Wait a few days and there'll be a newer one!  Of course I could say
that at any time.  ;-)

Kind'a like waiting to buy a computer or other electronic gadget
until the price bottoms out.  You'll wait forever!
