Gotcha.  Didn't realize I still had to hand edit the files.  Works great, 
although still had a few peculiarities when creating and editing.  I did it 
quite a few times and occasionally I had to delete an object 2 times to get 
it deleted off the screen although it did create a text line in the file.  In 
that case, I had to delete the killed line twice.  Occasionally the text file 
(object.log) would leave some spaces between the lines.  I always made sure 
the cursor was at the top of the file prior to adding or deleting.

Anyway got the hang of it and will save re-entering the data whenever I want 
to duplicate the objects.
