What error messages do you get at the "make lib" stage of the
Shapelib install?  I'm wondering if the same fix that is in the
README.win32 instructions might fix the MacOSX install for Shapelib.
Either way, I'd like to see what the compiler is telling you so we
can fix it and get the fix into the docs.
