[Xastir] Festival

I've downloaded and installed festival.  It shows up as a library under
xastir's config, so that's good.  I start Fesitval in server mode, per
xastir directions.  It tells me that it's a server on port 1314.  All is
well... I launch xastir, and it prints a message which says "client(1):
rejected from localhost.localdomain not in access list."

what is this access list and how do I add this machine to it (ie
127.0.0.1).??
