You need to get familiar with map extensions.  Anything like .tif,
.gif, .jpg, .png is a raster file.

.shp/.map/.pdb are vector files.

The tiger names are listed in either the online help or the
README.MAPS file.  Latter one I believe.

Map Chooser->Properties.
