I personally don't have any plans to go in that direction, sorry.
You might try to get another developer interested in it short-term.
I have several other things that I want to get to, and really need to
get to the KAM integration before I can get to the SAR things I want
to add.

Just for a bit of direction, the snapshot code could be hijacked to
do what you want.  Perhaps cycle through multiple creates of
snapshots/.geo files while panning one screen to the right for each
one, saving each to a new filename so none are lost.

I suppose you could do this more manually as well:  Create a script
that would constantly check for a new .PNG file.  If found, copy it
and the .geo file to a new name and tweak the first line of the .geo
file to incorporate that new name.  Then pan, click the snapshot
button on and back off, then pan again, click the button on/off
again...

Another option would be to tweak Xastir to write to a different
incrementing filename with each snapshot, including writing the
correct filename into the .geo file for each.  Wouldn't be
difficult to do that at all.
