[Xastir] aprsd Omniport and Xastir

Any ideas on why I cannot get the Omniport to work with Xastir? I can telnet 
into my aprsd box and type "pf(tnc,msg)" and get that filtered data. If I add 
"pf(tnc,msg)" to the Filter Parameters, nothing happens, no data from 
aprsd... Such is the case when no command is sent to the server to request a 
data stream...

I do see that it interfaces well with the javaAPRS server 14580 filtered port 
commands...
