Hi Brenda,
Beacon is not a script, it is a little program include in ax25-tools and
runs over a ax25 port.
AX25 tools/apps/libs are somewhere on sourceforge.net or in your linux
distribution (mandrake or suse are shipped with it).

thanks mate..
unfortunately that shell script makes called to another script called
"/usr/local/sbin/beacon" which i don't have anywhere on my system..
where does the beacon script come from?? xastir?
