I just fixed a bug having to do with gating of objects/items
upstream through that listening socket.  It'll be in CVS later, but
the fix is very small/easy.

If the client authenticates on that socket and you have igating
turned on, the packets should head up.  They also should get sent to
all other connected clients, whether authenticated or not.

You don't have to authenticate on that port to receive packets.
"telnet localhost 2023" should work fine.
