[Xastir] compiling on SuSE 9.1

Thanks for the reply Curt - I downloaded the shapelib source and
configure/make'ed it, but the INSTALL file said to test the objects,
and when I did the following errors were generated:

linux:~/shapelib-1.2.10 # make test

./makeshape.sh: line 9: dbfcreate: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 11: shpadd: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 12: dbfadd: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 14: shpadd: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 15: dbfadd: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 17: shpadd: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 18: dbfadd: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 20: shpdump: command not found
./makeshape.sh: line 21: dbfdump: command not found
make: *** [test3] Error 127
linux:~/shapelib-1.2.10 #

...not sure where to go from here, or how to install the
shpopen.o/ dbfopen.o objects that were created...

Off to class - will be back tomorrow as I'm studying for finals.
Will have to ponder this tomorrow PM...
