Yea, telnet into port 2023 on the computer running Xastir, after
enabling the server port on the Interface menu.  You'll get a bunch
of data there, all the stuff that Xastir is receiving.

If you send in an authentication string (user/passcode), you'll be
able to inject objects there, then disconnect.
