[Xastir] Mobile installation

Hi guys,

Anyone have a mobile computer installed in their car running Xastir?   
I finally got everything running as I wanted, but I can't seem to find 
a suitable display.  All the 4-8 inch displays I have found (and 
purchased) are composite video.  When I hook them up the maps look 
terrible due to the lack of resolution.  My wife has a 15 inch lcd 
display on her computer that will work (assuming I can convince her to 
give it up) but it is bigger than I'd like.  Anyone aware of a 
something around 8 - 10 inches that will do at least 800 X 600?

If I can't find something suitable (and priced affordably) I may trash 
the whole mini-atx computer and install either an old Toshiba laptop or 
my recently retired 12 inch Powerbook.  Anyone have experience in 
separating and extending displays on laptops?  I'd like to mount the 
cpu under the seat or in the glove box and the display on the dash.
