ssh/scp are the tools of choice on Unix/Linux for doing secure
logins remotely and secure file transfers.  I use them constantly.

I just got into gnucash...  Nice program for those looking for a
replacement for Quicken (not that anyone mentioned it, but often
people do when talking about a must-have program from Windows).

About the only thing I've found that it doesn't do yet is the online
banking stuff, unless you happen to be in Germany where they have a
special protocol just for that.
