I just want to thank the group for all the help on helping me get through
the update Windows Xastir on my Notebook with 256 Megs of RAM. It appears
you need more than 256 Megs of RAM so it does not take 5 plus hours to run a
update/make. I was not hanging in there long enough to get past the id.exe
file working at a RAM usage rate between 150 to 200 megs. My machine ran
sloooooow. Once I got through the update, things got better for running
configure and make for individual packages.

The last problem I had was that I could not get my TNC to come up and would
get the HARD FAIL error message. I found the problem to be that the
tnc-startup.kpc3 file had been touched by notepad. Once I resaved it as
UNIX, the tnc came on line (READMEWIN32.DOC notes this type of possible
error in general- good job on documentation).

So I am up thanks to all of your help out there. I learned a great deal and
a special thank you to Curt like usual for all his help and excellent
suggestions on what to try next.

So we road that bucking bronco down but after a case of beer, I sobered up
and found I had been riding a lot of bull. Man that was fun and I even
lived to tell about it. Heeee.

Thank you again.

Jerry DE N7YGE.

PS: Curt- I finally got to see the changes you made on the message window.
It looks excellent. I am anxious to see how it work on no ack type
messages. Thanks for all the hard work.
