[Xastir] Status text

I've got my Xastir station configured to transmit 'Station Position 
/Weather'. I notice when configured this way the only comment that is 
included with the report is 'XRSM'. I can see the logic of such a short 
comment as the wx packet is long enough as it is. My question is whether 
or not there is a way to force Xastir to periodically transmit a 
'status' packet. A packet without the weather or position information 
but with a more descriptive comment.
