That's a lot of stuff. I can see why you wouldn't want to see it.
I wouldn't either. I'd suggest going back to the original
startxwin.bat script so that you get rid of those, then perhaps work
on creating a ".profile" file in your home directory that will be
read by BASH when you first start up Cygwin and auto-start run
Xastir that way.
