[Xastir] Geotiff .fgd files not working?

I am getting the message -

Couldn't find 4 bounding coordinates in '.fgd' file, map
/usr/local/share/xastir/maps/ohio/geauga-DRG/Claridon.tif

There is a file 'Claridon.fgd', generated by mapfdg.pl script, located in
the same folder

Claridon.fgd content:
1.5.1.1   WEST BOUNDING COORDINATE:  0.000000
1.5.1.2   EAST BOUNDING COORDINATE:  0.125000
1.5.1.3   NORTH BOUNDING COORDINATE:  0.000000
1.5.1.4   SOUTH BOUNDING COORDINATE:  -0.125000

Can anyone point me to a solution? Also, I'd like to know a bit more about
the .fgd file format,
how the cropping works and units & meaning for the numbers...
