Shouldn't be, but worth checking the code to find out.  Might be an
oversight.

I don't do transmit currently (blown finals), so I'm a poor one to
test.  I could look at the TNC LED's though.  I'll try to find time
to check this out.

There were problems, so some delays were added back in which enabled
the tnc-stop file to get sent to the TNC when closing a port.  That
code was then replaced with other code that waits for the TX queue
to become empty or for too many loop iterations (in case of a hung
TNC) before closing the port.  None of those changes should have
affected normal transmit, but there's always the chance for
side-effects.

Look at the code.  Add some printf's in there at various places to
learn what's going on.  Play until you narrow down where the problem
is occuring.  I haven't had a lot of time to look at that problem
lately.
