In the source snapshot you downloaded there is a directory called
"scripts" you'll find inf2geo.pl in there. Do a quick "less inf2geo.pl"
and you can read the usage information at the top of the file.

That looks OK so far.  Can You do an "rpm -qa | grep ImageMagick" and
send me that?  There are some additional ImageMagick packages that can
also be installed.  Just so you know, ImageMagick is the library that
gives the developers to most headaches.  It seems the APIs keep changing
between versions.

If you hve tiff-3.5.7, you'll have to use libgeotiff < 1.2.x.  This is
due to the APIs in libtiff.  I highly recommend you install at least
proj, geotiff, and shapelib.  The others are nice, but if you've got
these (and tiff of course) you are setup for the vast majority of the
maps available.
