What was the name of the serial port you used?

Jeff> After I looked at the Install guide, I issued the following
Jeff> commands as a root user

Jeff> chgrp uucp /usr/local/bin/xastir
Jeff> chmod 2555 /usr/local/bin/xastir

Send the output of "ls -al /dev/whatever", where /dev/whatever is the
name of the serial port you used.

Jeff> When I run xastir, I get the following error message:

Jeff> xastir: error while loading shared libraries: libMagick.so.6:
Jeff> cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This is unrelated to the TNC problem.

Jeff> When I list the bin directory, I get this for xastir in
Jeff> /usr/local/bin/xastir

Jeff> -r-xr-sr-x 1 root uucp 801636 Jun 24 17:14 xastir

Jeff> I tried issuing the command

Jeff> chgrp root /usr/local/bin/xastir

Jeff> then re-ran xastir and got the same message.

Jeff> Any ideas on what might be causing it? Thanks--

What does "ldd /usr/local/bin/xastir" say?

Jeff> -Jeff Wigal, WY7Q

Jack.
