My normal operation is to run two or three Xastir sessions under
different logins at the same time.  With virtual consoles I can
switch easily back and forth and have different map displays and/or
different filtered/non-filtered servers connected on each instance.

Having all of the maps in the same shared place makes this
easy/possible.
