If you look at the AX.25 spec (ya right!), you'll see that there's a
bit in each digipeater field for "has been digipeated".  Some TNC's
represent that in ASCII form with a '*' for each one that's set,
some just show you the last one that has the bit set.  It depends on
the TNC and/or software in use.  It really doesn't matter, they are
both correct representations of the packet.
