I would think that there should be adequate usleeps in the code to
prevent high CPU in those conditions. Sounds like we need to track
this down and squash it. I wouldn't think we'd need to attempt a
reconnect more than every second or three, which shouldn't cause
high CPU at all. Is that on Linux or Cygwin?
