I guess you are right. I couldn't find the world.shp from the cvs, but 
there it is in my Xastir map directory. I guess I have downloaded it 
from somewhere else then. That somewhere else seems to be 
http://aprsworld.net/gisdata/world/ from looking at the corresponding 
dbfawk file.
