Typing "which noatun" on my system (SuSE) yields:

    /opt/kde3/bin/noatun

Typing "which amarok" yields nothing, so I don't have that
installed. Now, typing:

    cd /usr/local/share/xastir/sounds
    ls

Nothing shows. That means I don't have any Xastir audio files
installed. Went and snagged xastir-sounds.tgz from sourceforge.
Extracted the files and put them into
/usr/local/share/xastir/sounds. Made sure permissions on the
directory and files are such that all users can read them. Now this
should work.

    cd /usr/local/share/xastir/sounds
    /opt/kde3/bin/noatun bandopen.wav

Should result in audio being played. Check your mixer settings to
make sure your volume is set properly.

Put this into the configuration dialog:

    /opt/kde3/bin/noatun

On my systems I have "/usr/bin/play" instead. I don't have an audio
output device to test it with at present to make sure the current
Xastir does audio properly. Can someone else shed some light on
this?
