Three things of interest on the SourceForge "Site Status" page.
Stuff that could affect us (in a good way) soon, if they stick to
schedule:

"CVS Service: SourceForge.net staff are presently in the process
of performing a two-phase hardware upgrade to address performance
issues with the project CVS service. The first phase of this upgrade
is expected to occur on or around 2005-03-07. The second phase will
occur roughly two weeks later, and will be followed by the
long-awaited removal of the sync delay between developer CVS, and
the anonymous pserver-based CVS and ViewCVS services (currently five
hours). Minimal downtime is expected for the hardware upgrade
cutovers. Downtime will be announced on the Site Status page once
the transition to remove the sync delay has been scheduled. (Last

"Statistics: For the past six months, SourceForge.net staff have
been working to re-engineer the statistics infrastructure as to
provide real-time statistics updates, better underlying scalability
and reduce site performance impact. Code completion is now expected
in the next few days, with launch of new functionality in mid-March.
Additional work will be performed after the initial launch as to
implement several new elements to the statistics system. As this
statistics revamp is also changing the Project Ranking formula,
prior notice will be provided to project administrators through
standard means (email, Site Status, etc.) before this change occurs.

"Subversion Service: The research, analysis, and support gear-up
needed to implement a Subversion service at SourceForge.net is now
in progress. As with all SourceForge.net services, extensive
analysis and testing must be performed to verify suitable levels of
stability and scalability before a service can be rolled-out. We are
expecting the initial phases of this effort to last several weeks,
to be followed by the implementation of a testing environment which
will be used for a live beta test by specific selected projects.
Pending successful scalability testing, service details will be
finalized and service will be offered to all projects. (Last
