[Xastir] Xastir Com Port Capture

I have just loaded Xastir on my Compaq 1294 laptop with Cygwin 
interface.  I run a Belden F5U103 USB Serial adapter comport #1.  I 
initiated the kiss tnc in the interface window and the window says Up.  
However there is no receive data from the tnc or transmit data and the 
radio will not key up.  I have heard of problems with the usb comport 
emulators.  Does anyone have a fix for this one?  Thanks.  73 Jim K3QQN
