[Xastir] Ubuntu 6.10 Bootstrap error

Hi,
I got this when I tried to bootstrap

The machine is a cleanly installed Ubuntu 6.10 machine.
Google gives me one person with the same message for xastir from
2003, but its from the cache and I'm not sure how to go about
following up on the thread.
Any suggestions at to where I can poke?
