[Xastir] Ubuntu Sound

I loaded my sound files, enabled sounds in Xastir, confirmed my box is 
talking to the sound card, and is playing system sounds, but Xastir 
isn't playing them.

When I exit out of Xastir, I see numerous error messages:

sh: play: command not found.

When I double click on newstation.wav, Totem opens up, and plays the file.

So, does anybody know what command I should replace play with to get my 
sound working? Or what package I could install, that will play with play?
