I have moved my once working Xastir system to a new machine running RHEL5 x86_64. I can't seem to find ttyS0 or get it to talk to the Kantronics 9612+ (KISS mode). Everything seems to be working on Xastir and the modem is putting out KISS data from the radio but, although the port shows up in the BIOS, I'm not sure I have it setup correctly in the inittab or whatever the system is looking for. When I issue "setserial -g /dev/ttyS0" then I get "Cannot get serial info: Invalid argument."
I also get:
[root at pye ~]# lsof /dev/ttyS*
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE NODE NAME
mgetty 25255 root 0u CHR 4,64 749 /dev/ttyS0
mgetty 25255 root 1u CHR 4,64 749 /dev/ttyS0
mgetty 25255 root 2u CHR 4,64 749 /dev/ttyS0
Sorry if this is more of a system question than Xastir but I'm stuck... Thanks for any suggestions.
