You need write permission to the _directory_ in order for the script
to create a new .geo file there.  The proper permissions on the
files you list above should probably be 644 or 444 (-rw-r--r-- or
-r--r--r--), but what you have is fine too, you've just turned on
the executable bit for each but it won't hurt anything.  Won't hurt
anything if there's no executable code in there at least.
