[Xastir] How to delete Xastir

Assuming that it was installed to standard locations:

To delete all of the per-user information, to into the home
directory for each user and type:

    rm -rf .xastir

The current locations for installing the executables and associated
files are:

    /usr/local/bin (xastir/xastir_udp_client/callpass)
    /usr/local/man/man1/xastir.1
    /usr/local/lib/xastir/*
    /usr/local/share/xastir/*

The maps will be in /usr/local/share/xastir/maps.  You might also
have put things in the "Counties", "fcc", "GNIS", and "sounds"
directories that you wish to keep.

So... Start deleting things in the above directories listed, but be
careful in the /usr/local/share/xastir/ area.

That said, there's usually no reason to delete anything.  Newer
Xastir installs should replace important files.  I never feel the
need to delete before an install, and I'm fairly sure I do more
installs than anyone else on the planet.
