Heck, it was pretty self-contained, so can cause little damage in
the main body of code (famous last words).  I committed the changes
to CVS so that people can test it more easily.

We still need:

*) Testing of the DAO receive code just added.

*) Transmit DAO code.

*) Code to modify the white "precision rectangle" for stations
   sending the DAO extension.
