Are you running on a Mac or on Linux/Unix?

If Mac, that question was just answered on here.

If non-Mac, you need to install the development headers for X11.
The package may be called a variety of things depending on what OS
and flavor you're running.

On this OpenSuSE-10.3 Linux, it's called xorg-x11-devel
