This would be a neat feature, though.  split the Kenwood D7/700 GPS
RS232, so that the GPS TX goes to the kenwood and the kenwood TX goes
to xastir for plotting stations.

The D700 is hard to beat for a heads-up summary display, even if
xastir is running on a screen adjacent to it.
