Just a quick comment - the instructions for updating Xastir in the new
HowTo show a simple configure without the
CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/include/geotiff" portion.  I'm thinking if it is
built to use the binary geotiff library, it would have to be
configured the same way each time it is updated.
