[Xastir] OpenStreets mapping?

works - get the shapefiles from some of the numerous sites that  
convert osm to shapefiles. I even got a decent dbfawk from somewhere.

Alas, some guys come up with the same old "it's wiki, so it's crap"  
but it works for me so far - being situated downtown Toronto. Better  
than the official canada topo maps, eh.

just google and use the net, i don't recall where i found the stuff.
