File->PNG Snapshots

File->Configure->Timing:  Configure the timing for said snapshots.

Makes a snapshot.png and a snapshot.geo each time it takes a
snapshot of the map screen.  You can make the image available via a
web browser directly, scp or ftp it up to a web site somewhere, or
use the image and .geo file as a new map in Xastir itself.

There's also a KML snapshot option there.  I haven't played with
that option as much but perhaps that might be useful to you.
