[Xastir] TNC-X Stopped Working

I have been using Xastir with a TNC-X (with USB) on Ubuntu 10.04 for quite a
while and it suddenly stopped working after a kernel update last week.  I
can transmit from Xastir and the TNC is receiving (the receive LED lights,)
but I can't see any data on the computer in either Xastir or by connecting
to the /dev/ttyUSB0 using Minicom.  Has anyone else encountered this?  Did
the FTDI driver "break" again?
