[Xastir] Installing latest on hardy?

Jim,

If libgdal is installed, it may  not have the simple links installed.
For example, /usr/lib/libgdal1.4.0.so.1.11.4 is in /usr/lib, but  there
is no /usr/lib/libgdal.so. I created symbolic links in /usr/lib for
libgdal.a libgdal.la and libgdal.so.
