Something else to think about after you've thunked yourself out on
OSM tiles: Implementing tiling for other services which support it,
like Terraserver. We already have a problem with Terraserver
similar to the one you hit with OSM for larger screens. If we had
tiling/caching there things would be better.
Add to the bottom of your todo list? Pretty please?
Yet another: Re-implement caching w/o the use of Berkeley DB. It's
caused us a lot of problems in the past and is probably overkill for
what we need anyway. This isn't necessarily directed at you Jerry,
but at anyone looking for a good short-term project that would
benefit Xastir as a whole.
