[Xastir] Gpsd errors in xastir

I'm finding that on ubuntu 10.04 after a reboot I have to use 'gpsctl
-b' to get my gps synced to gpsd. I've not found the reason for this, as
earlier versions never had this issue. I think what happens is the gps
must change from SiRF III (binary) to NMEA or vis versa, this is a
little annoying as I also use the gps for my ntp server. The only good
thing is that I don't reboot the server that often so gpsd behaves once
I remember to force the gps into binary SiRF II mode!

Not sure if that helps any?
